As often happens, life got in the way and her artistic endeavors were temporarily put on the backburner. “I never stopped thinking about it, but I got sidetracked,” she now admits. With much of the last year spent sheltered-at-home, the West Coast-based Dolenz picked up the brushes again with a renewed dedication. “The one thing I needed was time and I made this a priority.” In short order, she refined her style, now using acrylics, and has turned out a series of new work. “The initial works were angels; spiritual for sure, but they can be whomever you want them to be … Spirit guides if you will” With a decidedly spiritual aspect to them, Dolenz’s new work has attracted immediate interest.
